Special Events and Programs

The Community Services Department offers a variety of events and programs throughout the year. We strive to enrich the Sierra Madre community through a variety of services for all ages. A few of our large, community-wide services include the: Huck Finn Fishing Derby and Campout, Mount Wilson Trail Race (second oldest trail race in California), 4th of July Festivities, Concerts in the Park, and Halloween Happenings.   • Community Yard Sale - June
  • Adult Co-Ed Softball League – Sundays and Wednesdays from June through August
  • Concerts in the Park – Sunday evenings from June through August
  • Family Movie Fridays – Friday evenings in June and July
  • 4th of July Festivities – July 3 and 4
  • Summer Fun in the Park – Tuesday and Thursday mornings in July and August
  • Wellness in the Park – September
  • Oktoberfest Golf and Tennis Tournament – October

Special Event Permits
If you or your organization is interested in hosting an event in the City of Sierra Madre, a Special Event Permit application is required and will be reviewed by the Community Services Commission. Applications need to be submitted a minimum of 60 days in advance of the event to the Community Services Office, located at 611 E. Sierra Madre Blvd., Sierra Madre, CA 91024.
