Parks & Facilities

Select recreation facilities may be reserved by private organizations or community groups. Any group desiring information can tentatively reserve online at City of Sierra Madre's Community Services Department Online Registration System. Reservations and permits can also be made at the Community Services Department and Hart Park House/Senior Center. All Sierra Madre parks are open to the public 6 am - 10 pm except Bailey Canyon, which is open from dawn to sunset.

Bailey Canyon Wilderness Park, 451 W. Carter Avenue
Picnic areas, hiking trails, native botanical area, handicap accessibility & parking, trail marker signage, fire ring, interpretive display, and outdoor restrooms.

Memorial Park & Hart Park House Senior Center , 222 W. Sierra Madre Blvd.
Hart Park House/Senior Center, playground, weeping wall, outdoor restrooms, picnic areas, covered pavilion, Bandshell, tennis courts, community gardens, and Veteran's Memorial Wall.

Milton & Harriet Goldberg Recreation Area , 171 S. Sunnyside Avenue
Sierra Madre's first pocket park opened in April 2008. This passive recreation area includes picnic areas, stone benches, and California native plants. Park features include a sand play area, desert willow hut structure, and dry stream bed.

Mount Wilson Trail Park , 189 E. Mira Monte Avenue
The Mt. Wilson Trail Park features include: playground equipment, picnic tables, open grass areas, and the City's beloved turtle.

Mount Wilson Trail , corner of Mount Wilson and E. Mira Monte Avenue
A trail leading to Mt. Wilson Interpretive Observatory, the trail is the site of the second oldest trail race in California. Intermediate destinations are First Water and Orchard Camp.

Sierra Vista Park , 611 E. Sierra Madre Blvd.
Community Recreation Center Office, Youth Activity Center (YAC), Aquatic Center, covered pavilion, picnic areas, playground, tennis courts, volleyball court, basketball court, Heasley Field, Dapper Field, Dog Parks, outdoor restrooms, and Sierra Madre Rose Float Barn.
