Library Hosts magically fun Harry Potter Party

They dared to try the flavors of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans and enjoyed them! They wore their Halloween costumes and made Pygmy Puffs, Whomping Willows, golden snitches and quills! They ate many treats including rock cakes and Slytherin snakes and drank pumpkin juice and butter beer!

Saturday, October 26, 2013 was not just a mundane Saturday afternoon, but an enchanting magical adventure at the Sierra Madre Public Library.

Children and their parents passed through the bricks of platform 9 ¾ and entered into the children’s room of the Library. They were sorted into their houses, took photos in Azkaban, tasted some of the mysterious treats and made crafts from the popular children’s book series.

The Sierra Madre Public Library, located at 440 West Sierra Madre Boulevard in Sierra Madre, is open Monday through Wednesday from Noon to 9 p.m., Thursday and Friday from Noon to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
