About the Office of the City Clerk

The City Clerk (ceremonial) is elected to a four year term. The Assistant City Clerk is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the office.

The City Clerk is Sue Spears.   Ms. Spears' term will conclude April 2020.

The City Clerk's office serves as the custodian of records, is responsible for maintaining City records ordinances, resolutions and other official City documents; conducts municipal elections; administers oaths; maintains the Sierra Madre Municipal Code; and administers campaign disclosures of economic interest.
