Sierra Madre, CA. - January 30, 2015 - The Mt. Wilson Trail Race Committee is again offering a comprehensive 17-week program to get runners ready for the challenging Mt. Wilson Trail Race, scheduled for Saturday, May 23, in Sierra Madre. This program is free and the public is invited to participate.

If you know someone who lives in Sierra Madre, has demonstrated outstanding community service, and is 60 years of age or older please be sure to fill out a nomination form, due by Tuesday, February 17th, 2015.

The initial stages of the update will focus on two Town Hall meetings to gain feedback from our older adult population. Participation in these Town Hall meetings is an excellent way to provide your input and help shape the future needs of the older adult community. We encourage you to attend one of our meetings and be an integral part of this process!
The first Town Hall meeting is on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 4:00pm. The meeting is at St. Rita’s O’Malley Hall, located at 322 N. Baldwin Ave., Sierra Madre, CA 91024.

The classic detective novel, The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler, is Sierra Madre Library’s 2015 One Book, One City pick and a month of exciting events is planned celebrating Chandler and the LA Noir genre.
