Josh Moran was sworn in to the City Council in 2010. He previously served as Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem. He also served as a Sierra Madre Community Services Commissioner for seven years, was a member of the Parks Master Plan, Youth Master Plan, and Mount Wilson Trail Race Committee, and also served as Application Chairperson for the All-America City Committee and Chairman of the Youth Master Plan Scorecard. Mayor Moran also serves as the Council’s liaison to the Planning commission, Tree Advisory Commission, and the Foothill Workforce Investment Board. He is the alternate liaison to the La County Sanitation district board, and the League of California Cities.
Councilman Moran has been a resident of Sierra Madre for more than 30 years. He holds a B.A. in Literature and Philosophy from Claremont McKenna College, and spent more than ten years as a teacher and Dean at Flintridge Preparatory School. He currently works for Urban Financial Group as a wholesale Account Executive for major clients in the mortgage industry.
